Legal Question in Bankruptcy in California

Just filed BK Chap 7 now what?

I just filed Chapt 7. I was wondering about this meeting I have with the creditors. Do I need to bring anything like proof of bills or rent? What will they ask me? I've never done this before and it happened so fast.

I also heard they (the creditors) can block the BK. Under what circumstances would they do that, especially since I'm unemployed and really have no other means of income to satisfy the debt after living expenses.

Don't torture yourself. Usually the questions are routine, such as "did you read the papers before you signed them?", "is everything in the papers correct," etc. You don't need to bring anything with you except a photo ID (driver's license), and social security card. If the trustee (the person who handles the BK) needs more, (s)he will let you know. It's nothing to stress over!!
