Legal Question in Bankruptcy in California

I have filed a Chapter 7 Bankruptcy and now it has been discharge. Is my Private Student loan still required to be paid. The note holder is RBS Citizen and when I ask them about the loan repayment they make it seem like I don't have to pay it. Also AES who I was paying originally charged it off when I go to the system. My credit report shows it was part of the Bankruptcy discharge. Also if I don't pay it what would be the worst case scenario and also if I pay it would they report it as paid in full and in good standing?

Student loans are very rarely discharged in bankruptcy. Unless you went through a trial on the issue of discharge, your student loans were not discharged in your bankruptcy. You will need to continue paying them.

If you don't pay, they will continue to accrue interest and penalties and eventually garnish your wages and take whatever money you have in a bank account. They will never go away.
