Legal Question in Bankruptcy in California
I filed chapter 7 bankruptcy which was discharged in 08/2003. It was my understanding when we filed that it would only stay on your credit report for 7 years? Have the laws changed, and if so what can I do to have it removed from my credit?

It's always been 10 years. It's not the law, but the practice of the credit reporting agencies.
