Legal Question in Bankruptcy in California
I filed Chapter 7 bankruptcy on September 30. My auto lease ended on October 5. My assumption was that the collection process would stop with my bankruptcy filing and I would buy myself four months to pay down my outstanding lease balance and save up money for a down payment to buy it out, once my bankruptcy has discharged. Honda is claiming that I have until October 15th to pay off the car or turn it in. Is Honda correct or are they bullying me? What options do I have, if any?

If the lease ended, you should surrender the car.
