Legal Question in Bankruptcy in California
I need Help
filed chapter 7 in 1994 and in 1998 one of the discharged creidtors filed suit against me. I then hired an attorney and counter sued them but I understand that because the went against the court the can be held liable for all my expences and I could be awarded damages is this true.

I'm not sure what you mean by "the went against the court". If they had notice of the bankruptcy proceeding before filing their lawsuit in 1998, then you can reopen the bankruptcy case and seek damages and expenses as well as contempt of court.
