Legal Question in Bankruptcy in California
I filed chapter 7 , took the pre test but did not know you had to take a post test so my case was not discharged. I was told I need to file a motion to reopen.
Where do you get the form to file a motion to reopen a chapter 7 case in Calif.? What is the form number and can you get it free on line?

There are no forms. You would need to cite the law that allows you to reopen your case. You will need to have completed the course, then file the motion. Attach to it a declaration signed under penalty of perjury expalining why you had not taken the second course. At the creditors' meetings, trustees distribute an informational pamphlet advising of the course requirement, so you will also have to explain that it was not provided to you.
