Legal Question in Bankruptcy in California

filing bankruptcy

If i file bankruptcy will i lose my truck? I owe about $18,000.00 in credit cards. but i need my truck to find work.

I live in Ohio but just came out to Ca so i would need to know for each state. thanks

If you file in California, after having resided here for 3 months, you will not lose your truck (unless you do not pay for it) ... California has very generous exemptions.
