Legal Question in Bankruptcy in California
Filing Bankruptcy & Income Left Over?
I am currently in the process of filing BK with a paralegal. She has figured out our income vs. our outcome and came up with an extra amount of about $300 +/-, after all bills are paid. She has made me nervous asking me if we still want to file? I'm on unemployment right now which will run out in May 03. Do I need to worry about this? How do the judges look at your overage in income after bills?
Thank you in advance for your help!

Re: Filing Bankruptcy & Income Left Over?
This will depend on your debts, but I doubt an extra $300 per month will be sufficient to pay off your debts. It's difficult to say without seeing the whole petition, but perhaps an attorney should review it before you file it.
