Legal Question in Bankruptcy in California
Ex: filing chapter 7
ex-husband put me down as a creditor. He and his attorney say they can not file on spousil support, also his attorney tells me, we will not worry about paying you past support just future. Did they lie about not being able to file and should I worry?

You should consult with a bankruptcy attorney in your area. Certain debts are not dischargeable, but an adversary action might have to be brought in the bankruptcy to make that determination. A debtor is required to list all creditors so, if nothing else, your former spouse was being up front in his filing.
