Legal Question in Bankruptcy in California

Can anyone tell me how to find out exactly what was or was not discharged through my bankruptcy? We filed bankruptcy & received the DISCHARGE OF DEBTOR dated: March 31, 2011 however it did not list what debts were actually discharged. August I started receiving collection letters and am being sued for things I thought were included in my bankruptcy. I cannot get a hold of my attorney, even his website is down. I have my case number and tried to find it through the bankruptcy court, but couldn't find anywhere to enter my case number... help!

All of your unsecured debts -- listed and unlisted -- would be discharged, plus others, as well. It's possible that those folks who are sending you the collection letters don't know about the BK. Sometimes the creditors don't let their collectors know that you filed BK. You can send each of the creditors/collectors a letter containing the notice of discharge (both sides), and tell them to leave you alone, as the BK operates as a permanent injunction which bars all collection activity. If they persist, then you can file an action in BK court to make them stop and get attorney's fees out of it, as well. You should be able to find your attorney's address and phone number at the State Bar of California website: http://members.calbar.ca.gov/fal/MemberSearch/QuickSearch .
