Legal Question in Bankruptcy in California

Having a hard tme finding address of collection agencies..

I'm trying to file Chapt 7, so I am calling my credit card companies and trying to find the addresses of where my accounts were sold. It's like pulling teeth when I finally get a phone #, they refuse to tell me their mailing address. I need this info to file. What do I do? Also some of them are represented by law firms, do I use the law firms address? By the way I do not tell them I'm filling, in fact I had to trick 2 of them and tell them I'm mailing a payment to get the address.

Thank you

Unless you have been notified that the loan has been sold to someone else, the original creditor should receive notice (as well as all collection agencies of which you are aware, to stop the calls). Feel free to e-mail me a list of the creditors with unknown addresses. I might have the info in my computer. [email protected] -Robert F. Cohen, Esq.
