Legal Question in Bankruptcy in California
Harrassement ongoing for 16 months for time share
My bankrupstsy was final on April 2, 2000 and it included a time share in San Luis Obispo County. I kept getting billed and I went back to the people who did my papers for court and they told me to ignore it.
I kept telling them it was no longer my property. After several more mailings and calls I asked them how do I get them to stop. They told me to transfer my name off of the title to someone else, I didn't but I did give it to someone. They sent the bills to collections and now collections is harrassing me.

You can either ignore it or have a lawyer file a contempt charge against them in bankruptcy court. This happens to most of my bankruptcy clients and usually they just ignore it. there is nothing they can do about it.
