Legal Question in Bankruptcy in California

Hi

I have questions about homestead protection. I own a three unit apartment. but I haven't live there

for three years. In order to get homestead protection do I have to live there ? I'd like to know the

requirement to get homestead protection.

The first requirement is that you must live there. As such, you cannot claim the tri-plex as your homestead.
