Legal Question in Bankruptcy in California

My husband has been reduced to part time hours and no longer attains dependable paychecks. I work full time and I've become behind on my debts, as well as tax debts (IRS). The 2 vehicles we both own are now 2 months late. We need to decide something now, since we are living month by month now.
