Legal Question in Bankruptcy in California
Inheritance Lump sum 1997
Do I need to report my inheritance as income on my bankruptcy papers. I am reporting my Social Security and any wages earned. But I do not know if I report the lump sum for 1998 source of income or 1999.

Re: Inheritance Lump sum 1997
I'm not sure I understand the question. You received an inheritance in 1997 and you're filing bankruptcy now? Where is the money? Sitting in a bank account, or do you get monthly fixed payments? I can't answer this without more information. If you'd like to reply to me privately at [email protected] I will try to answer your question then.
