Legal Question in Bankruptcy in California
judgement and lien
I had a car repossessed after an accident, and a judgement with a lien was filed. I receive money from a privately bought insurance carrier only, and have a checking account, no savings. All of my assets have been liquidated, I do own personal property and another car without a lienholder. Can my bank account be attached to where any amount of money that I deposit be taken? I see that this can continue for 20yrs, the amount judged was about $8500.I would rather not file bankruptsy as this is my only major debt, other than back owed taxes.
