Judgment against you

I would like to know if you can file bankrupct on judgments and the attorney fees from the judgment.

I believe what you mean to ask is whether or not a judgment is dischargeable. The answer depends on what the basis of the underlying judgment is, what chapter of bankruptcy you are filing, and numerous other considerations. There is a split in california as to whether judgments are dischargeable. The one decision that remains is that California will not allow the discharge of judgments wherein the underlying claim was based upon either "fraud or intentional misrepresentation."

Otherwise, you should be able to discharge a judgment.
