Legal Question in Bankruptcy in California
New Laws in California?
I have heard that starting Jan 1, 2001, there are some new bankruptcy laws for either California, or perhaps it is nationwide. Is this true? And if so, what are their effect on filing? Can you summarize is it going to make it tougher, etc?
Thanks

Re: New Laws in California?
Congress has a bill before it which it will likely vote on this year for a comprehensive change in the bankruptcy laws. If passed, it will go into effect sometime in 2000. You may check my website for updates.
