Hello, I have 3 questions 1st is,can person put a lien on my property before we go to court? ( a promissory note) 2nd i have about 40k equity on my property iam married and indebt about 20k and my morgage is about 1500 amonth I dont want to lose my new home but in order for me to keep up on the payments i need to get rid of the 20k( i still owe about $300.00 in late fees on my morgage)3rd is if file chpt 7 will i be able to keep my home?Thank you

1. They can sometimes do a prejudgment writ of attachment, but I'm not sure how common that is. 2. I don't see a question here.
