Legal Question in Bankruptcy in California
lied about income
when i applied for my credit card i lied about my income, now i cant pay if off and i'm filing for bankruptcy. Can this lie effect my case? they didnt even check with my employeer. Now I'm unemployeed and penny-less and trying to get back on my feet. i'm still just a college student.

It could but, depending on how much you owe on the card, the creditor might not bother. Make sure you're truthful in your bankruptcy filing with the U.S. Government. Perjury is a serious offense.
