Legal Question in Bankruptcy in California

I live in california. My husband and I own a house, the loan is under his name only. I have been unemployed for over a year and a half. I am considering filing bankrupcy on my personal debts. If I do would they go after my husband for payment?

Title 11 of the United States Code, section 524(a)(3) provides for an injunction against community- debt collections from a non-filing spouse in a community property state, such as California. Whether you file singly or jointly, it is best that both you and your husband attend the consultation with your bankruptcy attorney.
