Legal Question in Bankruptcy in California

I am in the middle of a bankruptcy. My wife just died of cancer. Can the bankrupty take my insurance death benefit?

Sorry to hear about your loss. Life insurance does become part of your bankruptcy estate if you become entitled to it within six months of filing for bankruptcy. The trustee can take it to pay your debts. You should discuss your situation with your attorney immediately.
