Legal Question in Bankruptcy in California
Missed claim by trustee.
A bankruptcy was filed in Feb. 1993 for chapter 13. Debts were listed and creditors notified. The trustee listed claims that had been filed. The plan was confirmed based on only the ones that the trustees had listed as "filed". In Aug. 1996 the new trustee discovered a claim that had been propertly filed by the creditor in 1993 but not listed on the trustees list. What should the debtor (me) have done in respect to the bankruptcy and the trustee?

Trustee mistake
If it was indeed the trustee's maistake, it isthe trustee's problem. If it was your mistake, the debt may not be discharged. Yourbankruptcy lawyer should be able to advise.
