Your $10,000 fine will dischargeable in your bankruptcy (you can include it in your bankruptcy) if or to the extent that your the fine is compensation for the government's financial loss or financial loss caused to someone else. Usually when you have a $10,000 ticket fine, a very small portion of it will be an actual "fine" and most of it will be compensation for the government's financial loss or financial loss caused to someone else's property that you damages. For example, the fine may be $200 - $1,000 and the remainder of the $9,000 may be for reimbursement of Court personal time, Court programs, etc., or for reimbursement of damage to someone's property. Therefore, you need to look at your judgment papers and see how much of the $10,000 is truly a "fine" and what portion is compensation for the government's or someone else's financial loss.
