co owner of the house be affected if i file bankruptcy
i own a home w/my sister as a co-owner, if i file for bankcruptcy will she or her credit be affected?

There is no way to answer this question without knowing a lot more information, such as what chapter you are filing under, whether there is equity in the house, whether your sister is obligated on any liens or mortgages against the house, how title is exactly held (joint tenants, tenants-in-common, etc). Generally, if you are going to continue making payments on the house I don't see why her credit would be affected, but if you are letting the house go or the Trustee sells it due to excess equity (in a Ch. 7 case) then of course, that would affect her.
