Legal Question in Bankruptcy in California
Past Bankruptcy and future career
My wife and I filed for bankruptcy 6 1/2 years ago. I am now looking into new career fields such as becoming an accountant, Enrolled Agent, or others in Financial planning. Will my past bankruptcy prevent me from obtaining any of the state or federal licences/certifications necessary to enter these fields?
Thank you!

Re: Past Bankruptcy and future career
I have no idea whether it will affect any licensing, but an employer cannot discriminate on the basis of past bankruptcy filings.
