Legal Question in Bankruptcy in California

Do I have to pay a company that has gone bankrupt

I bought a dresser from a furniture co. that has gone bankrupt. Used the free financing for a year with no payments or interest until the year is up. Now that this company is bankrupt, do I still have to pay the bill? The bill still arrives every month, but I do not know if I am required to pay a company that has closed down.

You are still obligated to pay, as the asset is now part of the "bankruptcy estate" of the debtor. It may have already been sold to some other entity as well, and you'd owe them just like you'd owe the furniture store.
