Legal Question in Bankruptcy in California
I have not been able to pay any credit card bills for more than 12 months. Am I right to asssume that since bill collectors are hounding me the original debts have been written off by the credit card companies? If this is true how can anyone collect these debts?
What's the law say?

They can still try to collect the debts from you, unless you have an agreement with them that you don't have to pay.
