Legal Question in Bankruptcy in California
Payments received on debts after bankruptcy
If I'm relieved of an unsecured debt by a bankruptcy filing, then find that i'm being compensated by another person that I originally created the debt for, do I have any requirement to report those payments to anyone and if I fail to what are my risks

You are required to schedule all of your debts and all of your income. If you don't do so and the trustee investigates, you can face criminal sanctions under penalty of perjury or your BK can be dismissed for fraud.
Also, you might not qualify for Chapter 7 if your "discretionary" income is greater than the statutory cutoff.
