Permanent Resident Bky Filing

My boyfriend and I are filing BKY. He is a Canadian citizen here on a green card with permanent resident status. He has a SS# and DL#. After filing, if he goes back to Canada and decides to return to the states, will he have any problem? Can he be denied re-entry because of the bankruptcy?

No, he can't be denied re-entry into the U.S. since that is an immigration matter and has nothing to do with bankruptcy. It's not like he committed a crime or something by filing bk! Crimes, on the other hand, do have immigration consequences.

You state that "my boyfriend and I are filing BKY." I think you really mean only HE is filing bankruptcy. Since you're not married to him, you cannot have a joint bankruptcy filing, unless you're in a partnership or shareholders of a corporation and the business is going bankrupt.
