Legal Question in Bankruptcy in California
Can a person who lost a civil lawsuit use chapter 7 bankruptcy to discharge a judgment against them?
A little information about my case:
I won a judgment against a person who forged (fraud) my name to steal my property. The person refinance my property and took out all the equity, so I sued him and won a judgment.

The judgment debtor can attempt to discharge it in bankruptcy. However, if the superior court found there was fraud, you could bring an action to determine dischargeability or an adversary action. Fraud and/or intentional injury to another party are not dischargeable in BK.
