Legal Question in Bankruptcy in California
Hi !
My name is Phuong . I have a house that got 2 second loans . Currently , I have filed bankrupcy , chapter 7 . I already got the discharged letter . Is there any way I can keep the house with a lower payment ? I heard on the radio that some law firm could drop second loan from and help the clients keep their houses with a lower payment . Is that true ? Thank you !

Yes, a Chapter 13 bankruptcy will enable you in many cases to drop or rewrite the terms of junior mortgages (but not your 1st). Most lawyers who handle consumer bankruptcies are able to accomplish this, not just the law firm that advertises on the radio.
