Legal Question in Bankruptcy in California

post bankruptcy, after the fact

filed and discharged from chap 7 about three years ago. problem with car. $ owed to lien holder was to have disharged, and car to be mine. problem now, attorney who handled case, does not answer my calls. how do i get the pink on the car? (just a 1995 toyota corolla with an excess of 130,000 miles)

It is not likely that this debt was discharged; ordinarily, any item of personal property upon which you owe money is required either to be returned to the creditor and the debt is retired (i.e., you owe nothing else) OR an arrangement is made with the creditor whereby you keep the item after having arrived at some agreed upon payment arrangement with the creditor. I believe you misunderstood what would occur in bankruptcy relative to secured debts.
