Property is personal residence in California. Surrendered in bankruptcy Chapter 7, Bankruptcy discharged. Lender offering moving expense for cooperative short sale of property that I technically do not own but still occupy. Any risk or liabilities in cooperating with the sale?

You will receive money to move which offer will be withdrawn if the process is dragged out. Eventually, the new owner will serve you with a three-day notice to quit and then file an unlawful detainer (eviction) lawsuit against you. That will go on your credit report which, probably, is not doing too well at the moment.
