Legal Question in Bankruptcy in California

I received a notice that a company I did business with is declaring bankcruptcy, and all people they owe money to need file papers with the court by a certain date in order to get paid.

I would not have received this notice unless the company owed me money.

However, I am not aware of the debt.

The bankcruptcy court is out of town.

How do I find out what the company owes me, so I can file with the court?

You are listed on one of the schedules -- probably Schedule F -- as a creditor of the company. If you provide to me by private e-mail the case number, the court and district in which it's filed, and your name, I can look to see how much the company claims it owes you and let you know.
