Legal Question in Bankruptcy in California

I have received a summons from Wells Fargo for credit card debt. I have not properly filled but was in the middle of filling for bankruptcy. I am also selling my house that was inherited to me upon my mother's death. How do I go about this summons? Is it too late to file for bankruptcy after I've received this summons?
