Legal Question in Bankruptcy in California
receiving money after CH 7 discharge
My bankruptsy case was discharged on January 2006 (CH7)
I was on state disability at the time. My doctor recommended social security around July, so
I applied for federal disability (social security) in August 06 which was granted in December 06 and received back ''pay'' from social security amounting to 12,000.00. Do I report this money to bankruptsy
court (or whomever is responsible for this).
Thank YOu and God Bless.

I would really need more info. If you disclosed the potential for disability pay in your petition, then you are probably ok. However, if you did not disclose it, there could be a potential problem. Please feel free to contact me.
