Legal Question in Bankruptcy in California

We recently filed a Chapter 7. When we met with the trustee on 6-1-09 he

instructed us to submit an offer to purchase our car, which was not exempt.

On 7-24-09 our attorney informed us she was going to submit the offer. We

have heard nothing since then from the trustee or our attorney. ( We received

our discharge on 8-1-09.) How long does the trustee have to require us to

pay him?
