Legal Question in Bankruptcy in California
Recovering bounced checks
I was working for a temporary service for several months. The owner of the company filed for Chapter 7 bankruptcy, after writing hundreds of people 2 weeks worth of bad paychecks.
I realize my chances of collecting my lost wages are slim, but I'd like to at least find out what I have to do to try to pursue it.

Re: Recovering bounced checks
If there are ultimately assets available for creditors, you will be informed to file a proof of claim for the amount you are owed. You have somewhat of a priority up to $4,300 for wages earned within 90 days prior to the bankruptcy filing date.
