Legal Question in Bankruptcy in California
rent and bankruptcy
our landlord informed us he will lose our home to bankruptcy and our lease will then be broken. Are we expected to continue to pay rent, knowing we will be asked to vacate at any time?

Re: rent and bankruptcy
You should pay rent until instructed otherwise by either the bankruptcy court or by the lender. You might talk with the lender about staying, especially if you've been good tenants, on time with your rent, etc.
You must receive a written 30-day notice before you're required to move.
