Legal Question in Bankruptcy in California
Signed Contract while in Bankruptcy
My contractor signed a contract with me while in bankruptcy which I was not aware of. He got paid by me for the materials but did not pay the supplier. Now the supplier has a lein on my house.
Isn't this fraud? Can I claim my money back from the contractor? What can I Do?

Re: Signed Contract while in Bankruptcy
If it was signed after he had filed bankruptcy, he remains obligated on the contract. You can sue in small claims or superior court.
