Legal Question in Bankruptcy in California

My sister and bro in law make below the poverty Calf. income level. They were unable to pay their credit cards, and a lien was placed against their old single wide mobile home. If I paid for them to see a bank ruptcy attorney, could the lien be removed from their mobile home?

It is very likely that the lien could be removed in a bankruptcy, and it sounds as if they would qualify for a chapter 7, though a thorough analysis of their situation is going to be necessary. I would be more than happy to meet with them to go through their situation and determine what we can do to resolve their financial difficulties. We do not charge for the initial interview, and work on a flat-fee basis. The only thing to be aware of is the fact that if you loan them money prior to filing bankruptcy, they will have no legal obligation to repay you once the case is discharged. Have them give me a call.
