Legal Question in Bankruptcy in California
Small business (one leftover bill) filed with Personal Bankruptcy?
We are considering filing bankruptcy, we had a small business that has not been in operation for over 4 years. We have one credit card bill that still exists that has the business name along with our name on it. Can we include that debt in our bankruptcy or would it be considered seperate? Would it depend on the total $, I beleive the balance stands at around $1800. All assets to the business have already been liquidated. Thank you for your help.

It depends whether the business was a corporation or a dba. If it was a dba, you MUST include it. If it was a corporation or partnership you only have to include it if you are personally liable on the debt.
