I don't know what you mean by "term". If you're talking about how long a bankruptcy lasts, it depends on a multitude of factors, perhaps most importantly what Chapter you file. As for how often you can file, you can file Ch. 7 after 6 years have passed since the filing date of the prior chapter 7 case in which you received a discharge. Ch. 13 and Ch. 11 can be filed anytime, assuming you are otherwise eligible.
