Legal Question in Bankruptcy in California

I'm thinking about going into a Chapter 7. I've stopped paying on my house for 2 months now. How long can I have in my house until I "have" to get out?

Well, even if you file Chapter 7, the bank will still be allowed to foreclose on the house. As stories all over the media and on real estate blogs show, some people are staying in their houses for months and months, even more than a year after stopping payments because the banks are moving so slowly on foreclosures. You could theoretically stay until after the house is sold at auction when the sheriff shows up.
