Legal Question in Bankruptcy in California
Timeframe/DA Child Support
I filed a Chp. 7 in 06/98 and I would like to know if I can file another Chp. 7 before 7 years. I became ill last year, my son was sent to stay with my daughter, she applied for welfare, the L.A. DA has since come after me for child support I work part-time, cannot pay. Wage garnishment dated,11/4/02. Please help, cannot pay.

Child support is not dischargeable in BK. Your best bet is to challenge the wage garnishment to reduce the amount taken.
