Legal Question in Bankruptcy in California

Type your question here...I must file for chapter 7 bankruptcy.And I do have some jugdments from( business related )small claim court.Dose chapter 7 covers these judgments?How about labor department judgment for back wages? please advice.

If the Chapter 7 is a no asset case, then judgments are discharged if they have not placed judgment liens. If they're liens then you would have to file a motion to avoid liens if they're attached to and impair your exempt properties. As far as the judgment for back wages, the labor department can file a claim and the court might allow it, that is, except it from discharge even if it's a no asset case.
