Legal Question in Bankruptcy in California
unable to pay agreed amount to bankrupty court
About 1 year ago I agreed to pay penalties to IRS through Chapter 13 but it looks a little shaky that I can complete my agreement due to health reasons. What can IRS do if I cann't pay. I may have to retire early from my employment, or what could they do to my wife since she is also named in the bankrupty.I have an attorney but I would like to get a feel for what could happen.

Unable to Pay Agreed AMount--REPLY
If your plan fails and your case is dismissed or converted, the IRS will have the same remedies that they had before you filed your bankruptcy. (I am assuming that the taxes are not dischargeable since you filed a Ch. 13).
