A Chapter 7 bankruptcy probably will not help you save your home, unless you can bring your payments current. It will only delay the inevitable by a few weeks.
A Chapter 13 bankruptcy could help you catch up on your defaulted payments. However, you have to have a steady income to show that you can keep up with a payment plan for -- at least -- your secured creditors (house, car), and continue to make the payments that become due, as well.
You might speak directly with the lender and find out what is necessary to avoid a foreclosure.
