Will filing bankruptcy stop a condo association from trying to force foreclosure on a condo due to a lien for past due homeowner fees ?

Yes, filing for BK will immediately stop the foreclosure, at least for the time being, but the lien will survive the BK. The BK attorney you consult will require much more information about your finances.
